Each of these Awards will be presented to an organization or company that has shown innovation and excellence in the development, marketing and launch of a new item of equipment. The Awards will recognize an organization or company that has introduced a new idea, method or technology, process or application of commercial significance and/or benefit to the food and beverage industry. Entries can be from a brand new product or a re-launch of an established product. Within the submission, judges will be looking for evidence of:
- Date of when the product was launched or re-launched and where?
- Description of the equipment innovation
- Business strategy and positioning of the product within the marketplace
- Demonstration of innovation and creativity of the product
- Evidence of successful marketing and PR communication programmes
- Financial and sales performance against expectations
- Client and brand retention and satisfaction
- Third-party client and stakeholder feedback

- What are the energy/waste/water/labour saving features?
- How does it save these?
- What are the savings compared to?
For the purpose of these Awards;
Light Equipment refers to; light equipment, portable products, tableware, cutlery ancilliary equipment, tabletop equipment etc.
Heavy Equipment refers to gas and electric freestanding or fixed equipment items such as; ovens (standard, bake, convection, retherm, deck, conveyor etc.), steam jacket kettles, compartment steamers, cheesemelters, rethermalizers, ranges, griddles, fryers, conveyor ovens, tilting skillets/braising pans, rotisseries, under-fired broilers, open burner ranges, wok ranges, over-fired broilers, salamanders, dishwashers, refrigeration equipment etc.
The organizer reserves the right to position submissions in the most appropriate category if necessary.
