Organised since 1987, Gulfood is the region's largest and most important industry event of the year and a strategic platform for buyers and sellers to conduct direct business face to face. The exhibition is a showcase for manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers from around the world, representing all of the key sectors within the food and hospitality trade.
The 2009 event registered 3,300 companies from 76 countries took part in Gulfood and the Restaurant & Café Middle East showcasing the latest offerings.
Gulfood 2009 attracted 45,489 visitors from over 152 countries at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) and at Airport Expo Dubai (AED), recorded an outstanding 16 percent increase in visitor attendance while most importantly maintaining exceptional buyer quality.
The 14th edition of Gulfood in 2009 has confirmed over 20% growth through the allocation of more space at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) and the additional venue at Airport Expo Dubai, in order to meet exhibitors augmented demand
