The Brunei Halal brand is poised to make its debut appearance as an exhibitor at the grand Gulfood expo with its growing market presence in the Asian and Europe regions. It will be showcasing products from the establishment of the brand in 2009 to its new releases.
The brand’s vision is to bring to the world the most nutritious, wholesome and high quality products under one easy-to-recognize banner. Leveraging on Brunei’s strict adherence to its government-backed accreditation process, the Sultanate envisions that the use of the Brunei Halal brand would signify to consumers the manufacturers' strict compliance with laws relating to Islamic teachings. Brunei also aims to build confidence in the brand through strategies that will both ensure the (halal) integrity of the products and unfaltering compliance with set rules governing the sourcing of raw materials, manufacturing process, logistics and distribution. The Brunei Halal brand therefore aims to meet the consumption needs of Muslim and even non-Muslim consumers worldwide.
The Brunei Halal commercial brand has its setup in Brunei and Birmingham (United Kingdom). The UK operations, which began in 2012, will provide a commercial intelligence base to guide the further development of its business as well as greater control and management of the supply chain for the Europe region.
Currently, Brunei Halal's dry food product range includes biscuits, snacks and crisps, confectionary goods and noodles. At Gulfood, the Brunei Halal brand is set to launch its latest range of pre-cooked, ready-made meals which will consist of popular Thai, Chinese and Indian cuisines to suit the markets which the brand has presence in.
