BevereageForecast to achieve 3.9% annual growth worldwide between 2015-2016*, the beverage industry is witnessing significant demand, with many innovations in the sector mirroring wider F&B global trends.

Packaged water is leading the segment, followed by tea, milk and juice. Coffee maintains modest growth on a global scale, yet remains a central player in the MENA beverage market where some 8 percent of the world’s coffee transactions take place. In the UAE, more than $544.5m was spent on coffee in 2015, a 10 percent rise on the previous year, according to a 2016 report by Euromonitor.

As beverages as a whole remain the first choice for ‘grab-and-go’ foods among time poor yet increasingly health conscious consumers, demand for natural and clean label products is driving the evolution of nutritious, organic and perceived ‘real’ beverages that contain fewer ingredients.
