Grapoila gluten free seed flours
We think that there is excessive waste in the food industry, when some of this waste is reusable and can even serve as ideal raw materials for creating new products. We are first of all vegetable oil producers manufacturing cold-pressed oils, but according to our zero-waste philosophy we make use of ALL the byproducts. As a result of this Zero Waste technology we also produce seed flours, gourmet butters, natural cosmetics and animal feed. One of the byproducts generated during oil pressing is the so-called pellets. It is the dry material of the seeds without their oil- and fat-soluble ingredient content. As cold-pressing is a gentle, pure mechanical process with no use of chemicals and heat treatment, the pellets preserve the various, prescoius nutrients of the raw seeds. Grapoila seed flours are produced by milling and sieving the pellets. They have been defatted by the mechanical pressig, so their fat content - compared with the generally sold ground seeds - is quite low. On the other hand, their protein, vitamin and mineral content is high, so they fit well in any health-conscious diet. They are perfect raw materials for bakery products: they are healthy, fiber-rich, gluten-free substitutions of white wheat flour, they can reduce the total carbohydrate-content of the dough while enrich it with vegan protein and extra taste. With their beautiful, bright colours they are natural coloring agents, and also great for thicken cooked meal. Seed flour can be simple stirred into yoghurts, cereal meals for some extra natural vitamins and minerals, and they can be perfectly used for homemade vegan protein shakes. (Some seed flours' protein content is up to 60 %!) Graoila seed flours are available in various package sizes (including bulk) and for private label production, too.
