LE VIE DEL TARTUFO
Le Vie del Tartufo was born from the will and desire of Giovannino to transform his great passion for truffle, and everything about it, into a real business. When he was still a child, Giovannino followed in his father Gino’s footsteps on the search for truffles, until he became one, if not the best, truffle hunter in Italy. He started with the sale of Fresh Truffles that Giovannino collected himself in the territories of Umbria, also known as the “Green Heart of Italy” for its vast green woods. Thanks to his great passion, perseverance and deep knowledge of truffles, Giovannino founded the company in the early 1980s. At the beginning, the focus was mainly oriented to the marketing of fresh truffles, for the most part harvested directly from the 900.000 square meters of truffle fields owned by the company. This is precisely what allows the company to have at its disposal, throughout the year, fresh truffle in large quantities and in its best condition. Over time the company keeps on growing, so much so that Giovannino decides to create the first laboratory dedicated to the creation of preserved products with truffles in order to meet the growing demands of the market. Over the years the company has seen a constant growth and Giovannino’s vision becomes an all-round project undertaken by his son Andrea and his daughter Silvia, that meet the ideals of Le Vie del Tartufo: Quality, Emotion, History, Tradition, Nature, Innovation. The Truffle, a gift of nature, is therefore at the center of this project which branches off as a multi-path road represented by the expansion of the company headquarters, the creation of a museum dedicated to truffles, an academy for young chefs and an educational path inside our truffle fields where man and nature unite through the searching of truffle. Through tradition and innovation, from the land to the table, between Experience and Passion, since 1980… we are Le Vie del Tartufo.
