Joseph, a young tea taster back then, decided to introduce Sri Lanka to those sensitive taste buds of people around the world by introducing pure Ceylon tea in 1989. Joseph, who had been a tea taster received his training at the famous century old British Tea House which exposed him to the choice of tea in Colombo, Mombasa and London giving him the skill of tea tasting which is a form of art he has mastered over the years. He then decided to use this gift to give others a truly divine experience in tea tasting by establishing Qualitea Ceylon, a tea company in the magical island of Ceylon now known as Sri Lanka or the pearl of the Indian Ocean. Due to the rarity of tea, it is of high demand around the world and therefore establishing a global presence was paramount to Qualitea Ceylon. Due to this reason, paying attention to regional demands was necessary and Joseph embarked on the mission to identify and understand what people in different regions liked which was the inception of a large variety of tea crafted by him.
