INDIAN KABULI CHICKPEAS
Chickpeas also known as Garbanzo beans, Pois Chiches, Kabuli & Nohut being crowned King of family of grains. The two main variety of chickpeas are the large light seeded Kabuli type, and the small dark seeded desi type called Desi Chana. Chickpeas are mainly cultivated in India, Turkey, Mexico, USA, Canada & Argentina. Uses : - Chickpeas are major ingredient of many Indian, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean Dishes. Shal or split Desi chickpeas is one of traditional Dish of India. Hummus- Mashed Kabuli Chickpeas with oils and spices is a popular appetizer in middle east and Mediterranean region. Also essentially used in Falafel, Cucido, canned for Salad, flour for baking purpose also eaten fresh as a snack.
