In the heart of Agrigento valley, In Sicily, the Leonardi family has started a project for the recovery of an olive yard otherwise meant to be cleared: “Baglio Vento”.  The grove offers the best Sicilian Olive cultivars such as Cerasuola, Nocellara del Belice, Biancolilla, and Tonda Iblea, grown under the Sicilian sun and combining two advantages of the strategic location: the limestone soil and the proximity to the sea. Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil IGP “SICILIA”, which obtained in 2021 the “Monde Selection GOLD AWARD” is the perfect pairing with our Balsamic vinegars and condiments and is obtained from the Olives grown in our own Orchard “Leonardi Baglio Vento” located in Sciacca, about  8 ha with over 4000 trees, some of which being ultra-centenary, rescued from the eradication thanks to a recovery project started by Mr Leonardi including a massive trimming and replanting of missing trees and the installation of a new efficient irrigation plant.  This oil is recommended raw to dress salads, sauces, mains, meat and seafood, cheese, cold cuts, pizza and for bread dip, however, it is also suitable for cooking and frying.
