Shea Butter
The production of our refined shea butter begins with the collection of ripe shea nuts by a women's collective in West Africa. The women harvest the wild fruit, remove the outer green layer and heat the nuts to crack open the hard shell. This activity enables them to earn an above-average income, which makes a significant contribution to the family income. In the oil mills, the raw shea butter undergoes a multiple filtering process to achieve a particularly high quality and is then refined according to European food standards. Finally, our shea butter is certified in the laboratory for use in the food industry through special analyses and strict quality tests.
