The Almond Board of Australia is the peak body for Australia’s almond growers, processors and exporters. Our role is to communicate the nutritional benefits of almonds, the versatility of almonds that meets the needs of ongoing food innovation and the sustainable farming practices of Australian almond growers. The Australian almond industry supply four varieties of almonds: Nonpareil, Carmel, Price and Monterey. These almond varieties are available in-shell and as kernel. There are five grower, processor marketers of Australian almonds that supply more than 50 countries around the world: Almondco, Brightlight Agribusiness, NPA, Olam Orchards Australia and Select Harvests. The Australian almond exporters can supply the full range of value-added almonds including whole blanched almonds, slivered and flaked almonds, almond meal or flour, and almond paste and butter.
