CHITOSE works towards enriching the next thousand years by progressing from a fossil-dependent society to a biomass based circular society, by utilising the natural abilities of microorganisms, microalgae, and mammalian cells, etc.. One of our projects called the “MATSURI” project is the world's first joint project aiming at developing a society based on microalgae to progress from fossil-fuel dependent society. Microalgae can be alternative raw materials of daily necessities such as food, fuels, plastics, cosmetics. tabérumo, raw Spirulina, is one of our microalgae products. Unlike conventional dried Spirulina products, it does not contain a distinct taste, and does not interfere with the original taste of the food. This means that you can mix tabérumo with juice, smoothie, dessert and even pasta to supplement vitamins and nutrients. Furthermore, Spirulina is rich in protein (70 percent in dry weight), considered as the great candidate for meat alternatives, while capturing CO2 to contribute decarbonisation and sustainability.
