Eco-Rice Niigata Co., Ltd
Hall: Trade Centre Arena Stand: S-H26
We are EcoRice Niigata, a small rice company (we are 7!) from Niigata Prefecture in Japan, created in 2002. Niigata Prefecture is the largest rice producing area in Japan so we decided to gather rice producers from the region. As we care about environment sustainability, we decided to produce pesticide-free and pesticide-reduced rice using amounts of pesticide as low as possible, in order to protect the natural ecosystem of our rice fields, as well as our customers' health. We also want to expand the infinite possibilities of Rice to the world, and enable everyone, no matter their beliefs or health, to enjoy safe food. That's why we promote the 'Rice Peace Project' in Japan, New York, Paris and Dubai. We hope to expand even more in the near future. Therefore, we propose vegan, gluten-free and allergen-free products. Almost 20 years ago, there was a big earthquake in Niigata Prefecture, and we realized people who suffer from kidney disease (who are on dialysis), or have allergies were not able to eat emergency food rations. We then developed allergen-free rations to enable everyone, especially those who suffer the most, to eat safe food during such disasters. Our motto is ' To protect food safety'. We believe in Youth to build tomorrow's future. In 2020, we won a price from Japan MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) because we promote experience-based activities for children. Annual Sales: 632,978,458 JPY in 2020 (about 5.6 million USD) Representative: Yuu Toyonaga
