Founded by Salih Karwanchi and followed by Abdulwahab Karwanchi , Karwanchi Group began its business journey in 1940 in Kirkuk city in the north of Iraq. Karwanchi has traditionally focused on the food import and distribution. Alongside, the group continued to grow its focus on the food industry, launching ice cream and flour plants in 1982. In 1999, Karwanchi launched soft drinks plants, reflecting the ambitions of the founding family to continue meeting the daily needs of the Iraqi families. In 2007, Karwanchi business hit another milestone when it launched healthy water purifying and plants.
