Maharashtra Agribusiness Network (MAGNET), a project of Government of Maharashtra (India) assisted by Asian Development Bank (ADB), intends to increase income of small and marginal farmers in the State. The project focuses on promotion of integrated value chain development of targeted horticultural crops namely Banana, Pomegranate, Orange, Sweet Orange, Strawberry, Guava, Sapota, Custard Apple, Okra, Chili, and Flowers. Objectives of MAGNET Project :- To increase incomes of small and marginal holding farmers in Maharashtra, To reduce post-harvest losses and extension of the horticulture crops shelf-life, Demand-linked value addition and efficiency of food distribution, To increase participation of Farmers Producer Organizations (FPOs) in horticultural value chains.
