Our mission is to bring the best of the Swiss cheesemaking tradition to tables around the world, using a unique process of selection, maturation, packaging and distribution. Overseen by experts, our maîtres fromagers. Mifroma specializes in cheese from Switzerland. We work with maîtres fromagers, artisans with experience in both the century old art of cheese making and innovative production technologies, to select the very best wheels of cheese produced from the delicious milk of Swiss dairies. Our selection of cheese is extensive – ranging from the finest AOP’s to rare specialties only found in the Swiss mountains – so you can bring an authentic taste of Switzerland to cheese lovers around the world. Cheese wheels are patiently maturated in our sandstone cave carved deep into the mountainside of the Swiss village of Ursy. This natural grotto provides an exceptional environment, in terms of temperature and humidity, for developing cheese with strong character and flavor. The wheels of cheese are left to age, cured on a weekly basis, until they reach optimum maturation. Resulting in a rich, distinct and characterful taste experience you just don’t get from a cellar. As your partner, we will share our extensive experience of the world of cheese from Switzerland, so you, in turn, can become a maître fromager too.
