Minerva Foods began its history in 1992 with the acquisition of the first slaughterhouse and deboning plant unit in Barretos, São Paulo, Brazil, by the Vilela de Queiroz family - a traditional name in the cattle transportation business. The Company is a global reference quality in the production and marketing of beef, leather, exports of live cattle and other derivatives. Currently, Minerva Foods operates 25 slaughterhouses and deboning plants in South America: 10 located in Brazil, 5 in Paraguay, 3 in Uruguay, 2 in Colombia and 5 in Argentina, with a slaughter capacity of 26,180 livestock per day. Recently, the Company expanded its operations and acquired 2 sheep-focused slaughterhouses in Australia. The Company invests daily in the modernization of its industrial units, carries out strategic acquisitions, maintains a broad and customized portfolio with quality products, as well as having integrated and efficient distribution logistics. Leader in beef exports in South America, Minerva Foods sells its products to more than 100 countries through its 14 distribution centers and 16 international offices.
