Milkfed has undertaken an ambitious program to enhance milk handling capacity, add new production units having ultra-modern technology which will lead to increase in production capacity and product quality. Milkfed, in a quest to extend assurance for safe delivery of product , is in the process of setting up state of art NABL accredited central lab at Verka Mohali Dairy with an investment of Rs. 8 crores, where samples from all over Punjab and adjoining states can be brought for testing reasons. In order to execute its corporate social responsibility towards industry and society, Milkfed, in assistance with Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Science University Ludhiana is setting up a Dairy Product Innovation & Entrepreneurial Training Centre, a state of art fermented dairy with an initial handling capacity of 25000 Liters & extendable up to 50000 Liters, with an investment of Rs.13.36 Crores. The facility shall provide opportunity to students of university try their hands at the actual manufacturing & quality practices at the facility being set up. The reassuring presence of Verka during all times for all good purposes of dairying & delivery of cost effective products for consumer’s delight, has resulted in further strengthening its bond with the Dairy farmers and the consumers.
