An experienced business journalist, Simon joined Pickl in 2021 as Strategy Director with the company on the cusp of its planned international expansion. Having previously led regional F&B publication Caterer Middle East for more than three years, Simon helps to plan Pickl’s blueprint for success. Working alongside the senior leadership team to ensure the brand is proactively looking for opportunities to grow both locally and internationally, Simon is responsible for helping the brand reach as many people as possible. During his time at Caterer Middle East, Simon led the title’s digital and print strategy as Editor. Forging contacts with the region’s top restaurateurs and operators, Simon ensured the magazine and website delivered the F&B industry’s most important news to those who needed it. It was through his work in this role that he identified Pickl as one of the most exciting up-and-coming brands in the UAE. When not acting in his unofficial capacity as New Product Taster at Pickl, Simon can be found frequenting the rest of Dubai’s vibrant restaurant scene.
