William is Managing General Partner of Orbit Ventures the Emerging Markets VC with over US$125m in investment value managed. Orbit invests in technology startups that digitize traditional industries, boost earnings potential, and drive sustainable growth. Sectors include fintech, ecommerce, mobility, media, health, education, travel and logistics across growth markets in Asia, Middle East, Africa and LATAM. Orbit supports its investments with sales, user acquisition, monetization, partnerships, and fundraising. Orbit's ecosystem has helped our startups scale to 174m monthly active users as of 3Q25. The Magnitt MENA Investment Report named Orbit #6 most active VC in Emerging Markets in 2023, 2024 and 1H25. William joined Orbit from SingTel Innov8 Ventures where he was a founding Managing Director. Prior to that William was a Partner at Softbank China & India. William started his career in equity research most recently with Deutsche Bank where he was top ranked in Internet and Software in Asia and drove the IPOs of Alibaba, Kingsoft, eLong (Expedia China), OnMobile and InfoEdge Naukri.
