The National Agricultural Development Company (NADEC) is the first and the biggest agricultural share-stock company in the Kingdom. It was established in the year 1401 H (1981 G) by the Royal Decree, which transferred the Haradh Company to Agricultural and Animal Production share-stock Company, with paid up capital of 600 million Saudi Riyals (160m US$). The government contributed 20% of the capital and the public shareholder covered the balance.
Since its foundation, NADEC was considered as one of the Kingdom's largest Companies in the agricultural and food-processing sector. It has performed a significant role in the agricultural and food products.
