Hall: Shk Rashid Hall Stand: R-278
Grana Padano PDO cheese is the world’s most consumed Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) cheese, with over 5.8 million wheels produced in 2024—each weighing around 38 kg—and 2.6 million exported globally. Crafted for nearly 1000 years in Northern Italy’s Po River Valley, Grana Padano is a symbol of Italian culinary heritage. Its name reflects its fine grainy texture (“grana”) and its origin in the Pianura Padana. Naturally lactose-free due to its traditional production and long ageing process (from 9 to over 24 months), it offers high nutritional value, including quality proteins, vitamins, and calcium. The Consorzio Tutela Grana Padano, a non-profit organisation, brings together producers and affineurs to ensure every wheel meets strict standards to earn PDO status. It also protects the cheese against fraud and promotes its legacy worldwide. Grana Padano is more than a cheese—it’s a legacy of excellence, taste, and trust, enjoyed across five continents.
