FAGE is a globally leading Greek yoghurt manufacturer. We first began the industrial production of Greek yoghurt in Greece in the 1950s. We then expanded to the UK and Italy in the 1980s, and later, in the 1990s, to the US, where we kicked off the Greek yoghurt craze.
We are best known for our deliciously thick and creamy plain yoghurt FAGE Total. It is made according to the same family recipe dating back to 1926, using only two ingredients: cow’s milk and our unique blend of live active cultures.
What others call Greek yoghurt, Greeks call strained yoghurt. Our straining method uses 4 litres of milk for every kilo of yoghurt, after which we remove the watery whey. This allows us to create an incredibly creamy texture and a yoghurt that is naturally richer in protein than classic stirred yoghurts.
