Iran Pistachio Association (IPA) was established in 2007 to unite the various sectors of the pistachio industry—growers, processors, and exporters—to advance their shared interests. Today, IPA represents 5–10% of pistachio growers, 15–20% of processors, and 60–70% of exporters in Iran. As a representative of the pistachio industry, IPA’s primary objectives include identifying and addressing industry challenges, offering expert advice and guidance to its members, as well as the policy-setting government entities in Iran. IPA’s activities emphasize the promotion of Good Agricultural Practices in pistachio production and Good Manufacturing Practices during post-harvest stages. Additionally, IPA works to enhance pistachio exports through targeted government support. Aiming to expand pistachio exports, IPA participates in major international exhibitions to promote and showcase Iranian pistachios, highlight their unique advantages, share valuable data, and connect its members with potential buyers in global markets.
