Kien Giang Import & Export Joint Stock Company (Kigimex) was established in 1975. Through various stages of renaming, restructuring, and ownership transformation, the company officially became a joint stock company in 2016, with 83.31% State ownership. Kigimex is headquartered in Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province, and operates under the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Kigimex operates in three main business sectors. The food industry is its core activity, with five modern rice-processing factories capable of supplying 300,000–500,000 tons of high-quality rice annually to domestic and international markets. The aquaculture sector focuses on processing dried anchovy that meet ISO 22000 food safety standards for local and overseas customers. In addition, Kigimex is a certified petrol distributor, owning depots, transport facilities, and a wide retail network, supplying 40–50 million liters of petrol each year in Kien Giang Province and surrounding areas.
