Part of the global Lactalis Dairy Group, Lactalis UK and Ireland are manufacturers and exporters of award winning and high quality Scottish Cheddar Cheese. Our manufacturing site in Stranraer is situated in South West Scotland where the mild and wet climate is perfect for dairy farming and the area is one of the largest dairy fields in the UK, producing high quality milk. Stranraer has been home to a creamery since 1899, so has a rich and established history in cheddar production.
We also market the award winning PGI cheddar range from the Orkney Islands. It is produced from 100% locally sourced milk from Orkney farms, following a traditional recipe and process.
Our cheddar is available in retail, food service and manufacturing formats in a range of maturities to suit every occasion.
