Mama Sita’s is a five-generation Filipino culinary legacy inspired by Teresita “Mama Sita” Reyes, who envisioned bringing authentic Philippine flavors to Filipinos around the world. During her travels abroad, Mama Sita noticed that many Filipinos and their children relied heavily on Western food. She feared that younger generations would grow up disconnected from Filipino cuisine due to limited access to ingredients and the time-consuming nature of traditional cooking. Motivated by this concern, she encouraged her daughter and son-in-law to create convenient Filipino food solutions. This led to the birth of Mama Sita’s line of sauces and spice mixes. The brand began as a small cottage industry in their ancestral home, starting with a kare-kare (peanut sauce) mix—one of the most challenging Filipino dishes to prepare. Today, Mama Sita’s is a globally recognized brand, produced in a modern facility while upholding culinary heritage, natural ingredients, and strict food safety standards.
