Namwon Agricultural Technology Center supports local farmers by enhancing crop quality and promoting value-added processing and distribution technologies for regionally specialized agricultural products. In particular, it focuses on developing globally competitive agri-food products using passion fruit grown in Namwon’s unique climate and soil, known for its excellent aroma and flavor. Through this collaboration, Namwon City and Jeonju University jointly developed a premium passion fruit jelly made from locally sourced Namwon passion fruit. The product highlights the fruit’s refreshing taste and natural color, achieved through research-based formulation and hygienic, stable production processes. By participating in the Dubai food exhibition, the partners aim to introduce the excellence of Korean regional agricultural products and the strength of the industry–academia–public cooperation model to the global market, while expanding partnerships for entry into Middle Eastern and international markets.
