Paraná, located in southern Brazil, borders Argentina and Paraguay, providing access to 284 million Mercosur consumers. With a GDP of U$ 132.6 billion (2023), it is the 3rd best business and investment environment in Brazil. The state has 37 airports and two ports, including the Port of Paranaguá, the largest bulk port in Latin America.
It is the largest producer of animal protein in the country, having exported 1.73 million tons of chicken meat from January to October 2025. In addition, Paraná's food and beverage industry exported U$ 14,2 billion to 176 countries in 2024.
Paraná is also a leader in Brazil in the production of organic food, chicken, beans, yerba mate, barley and fish, standing out for the high quality of its products.
