Penang Regional Development Authority (PERDA)
The Penang Regional Development Authority (PERDA) is a statutory agency under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), Malaysia, mandated to drive inclusive and sustainable socio-economic development within designated regions of Penang. PERDA plays a pivotal role in empowering local communities and strengthening the regional economy through comprehensive entrepreneurship development, human capital enhancement, and economic empowerment programmes. The Authority places strong emphasis on nurturing Bumiputera micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by providing structured support including capacity building, business advisory services, access to financing, market development, and promotional initiatives.
