Founded in 1976, Società Agricola C.O.P.A. has fifty years of experience in the fruit and vegetable sector. From a small business in Canino in the Province of Viterbo, the cooperative has expanded year on year to become the hub of the entire fruit and vegetable sector in the area of Maremma situated between Tuscany and Lazio. Known nationwide for green asparagus production, Società Agricola C.O.P.A. currently dedicates half of its land to this crop, while cultivating many other early fruit and vegetables in the remaining hectares including cauliflower, broccoli, artichoke, fennel, melon, watermelon, almond, courgette and tomato. Sales reach major Italian retail chains and the country’s main wholesale fruit and vegetable markets. C.O.P.A. has also developed international partnerships, especially for green asparagus.
