Cornitos Celebrates World Environment Day with Extensive Tree Plantation Drives Across Delhi NCR

Cornitos, India’s leading nachos brand, marked World Environment Day on June 5, 2024, by partnering with multiple NGOs to conduct tree plantation drives, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation. These initiatives were held across various locations in Delhi NCR, engaging local communities and volunteers.
In collaboration with Say Trees, Cornitos organized a plantation drive at Government Sarvodaya School, Matiala Village. In Faridabad, the brand joined hands with Save Aravali for a drive in the Faridabad Forest. Additionally, Cornitos partnered with the Thinkgood Foundation under the Mission 100 Crore Trees campaign for a plantation drive in Noida. A separate drive was also conducted at the Roorkee Greendot Health Foods factory premises.
The initiative resulted in the successful planting of approximately 300 saplings, with enthusiastic participation from over 60 Cornitos employees and local residents. These efforts aimed to enhance the region’s green cover, promote environmental awareness, and encourage collaborative action for a sustainable future.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Vikram Agarwal, Managing Director of Cornitos, said, “At Cornitos, we recognize the responsibility businesses have in tackling environmental challenges. By partnering with NGOs for these plantation drives, we take a step toward a greener future. Sustainability remains at the core of our operations, and we are committed to eco-friendly practices that benefit the planet.”
Cornitos’ sustainability journey includes the installation of a solar plant at its Roorkee manufacturing unit, reducing its carbon footprint through renewable energy. The company also employs water recycling systems and complies with the Extended Producer Responsibility guidelines issued by India’s Central Pollution Control Board.
Cornitos and its partner NGOs express heartfelt gratitude to all volunteers and participants, whose efforts planted the seeds of a greener tomorrow and showcased the transformative impact of collective action.
