Frosty Boy wins Australian Export Award with 20% export growth

Frosty Boy Global, a Gold Coast-based dessert innovator, has claimed the Agribusiness, Food, and Beverages category at the prestigious 62nd Australian Export Awards. The company’s 20% export growth over the past year, combined with its commitment to product innovation, secured this significant accolade.
Founded in 1976, Frosty Boy now produces 1.7 million soft serves daily, exporting to regions across Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East. Over the past year, the company expanded its global footprint with over 1,000 new customer outlets, including markets in Saudi Arabia, and Morocco, as well as emerging regions like Uzbekistan and French Polynesia.
Key to this success is Frosty Boy’s customer-centric approach to product development. Innovations include a high-quality vegan jelly to replace animal collagen and a whipped cream solution adapted for Vietnam’s popular egg foam coffee trend. These developments highlight Frosty Boy’s ability to meet diverse, region-specific consumer demands.
CEO Johann Botha credits the company’s growth to its dedication to advanced manufacturing, robotics, and collaborative relationships with Australian suppliers. “Our legacy lies in combining innovation with strong partnerships to deliver tailored solutions that keep customers competitive,” said Botha.
With a focus on shelf-stable powder solutions, Frosty Boy plans further expansion into Africa and other high-growth regions. Winning this award solidifies Frosty Boy Global’s reputation as a leader in the global dessert and beverage sector, driven by innovation and a commitment to excellence.
