Tokla Tea (Nepal Tea Development Corporation Ltd)

Nepal Tea Development Corporation Limited Hall: Za'abeel Hall 5 Stand: Z5-C21
Nepal is a land of natural beauty, known for its mountains, green hills, forests, lakes, and flowing rivers. The hardworking and friendly people add to this charm. The clean environment and fertile soil make Nepal ideal for natural farming, with minimal use of chemicals. Most tea gardens are in eastern Nepal, at the foothills of Mount Kanchenjunga (8,598 m). Grown at high altitudes, Himalayan tea develops its unique taste in cool mountain air, morning mist, gentle winds, and warm sunlight. The company was established in 1966 and manages seven tea estates. Five estates were developed with British technical support, while two were planted in 1863 by Colonel Gajraj Singh Thapa using seeds gifted by the Chinese Emperor. In 2000, the Government of Nepal transferred these estates to the Triveni Group under a privatization program.
