Our Family Story My grandfather Demetros, lovingly called Zerzekkis – “my sweetie” in the Asia Minor language – was born in Athienou in the 19th century. Son of Zannetos and Athena - from Asia Minor, whom he met while trading homemade village foods. Life was simple but full of love. Grandfather tended the animals, farmed the land, and traded village products, while my grandmother Despina crafted fresh Halloumi and Anari daily. As a child, my mother delivered cheese to relatives, returning home with bread, olives, fruits, and nuts – gifts of the earth and the hands that nurtured them. Grandfather’s honesty, passion, and dedication to quality made his products trusted and cherished by friends and customers alike. Today, we honor this legacy by continuing to offer the finest, lovingly made products – food that nourishes the body, uplifts the spirit, and keeps our family traditions alive.
