onest to Goodness, a leading Australian certified organic food company, has been named Organic Retailer of the Year and Organic Brand of the Year at the 2025 Australian Organic Industry Awards. “Winning both awards is an incredible honour and reflects the dedication of our team, customers and the growers and suppliers we work with,” said Matt Ward, Founder & Managing Director. “Certified organic is about more than food – it’s about building a healthier, more sustainable future for people and the planet.” This recognition builds on a strong awards history. In 2024, Co-Founder Karen Ward was named Organic Woman of the Year, and in 2021 Honest to Goodness received its first Retailer of the Year title during a year of global supply chain challenges. Over the past year, Honest to Goodness has: Launched over 100 new certified organic products across its brands Expanded Community Buying Groups, improving access and affordability nationwide Opened a solar-powered, AI-enabled warehouse in Villawood, Sydney, increasing efficiency while reducing environmental impact Founded in 2002 as a small Sydney market stall, Honest to Goodness now offers over 850 certified organic products across 19 brands. The company serves households nationwide via its eCommerce store, Alexandria retail shop, wholesale distribution, and its Community Buying Group platform, which supports more than 1,200 groups, including many in regional and remote areas.
