A cake is a type of pastry that has European origins and is usually referred to in English as a small, flat piece of baked dough. The origin of cake is bread, and the most important factor that is considered to distinguish bread from English cake is the removal of yeast from bread. In 1727, a cake recipe was seen in a cookbook that used eggs to puff the cake. At that time, it was realized that if a large amount of eggs were used in the cake, there was no need to use yeast. The cookie was also baked for the first time in the world in the seventh century in Iran.
