ERIDON is implementing a cattle breeding and meat processing expansion project designed to scale up existing operations and modernize key infrastructure, including livestock housing, slaughtering, cooling, and cold storage facilities. The project builds on an operating base, which significantly reduces implementation risk and capital intensity compared to greenfield developments. Once fully operational, the complex will produce more than 2,000 tons of premium-quality beef per year, fully compliant with food safety, quality, and processing standards. The modernization program includes the construction of new farm buildings, slaughterhouses, cooling shops, and cold storage facilities, as well as the installation of modern equipment and machinery for animal holding and meat processing. The total project budget is $24 million, covering design works, environmental impact assessment, certification, construction, equipment, primary herd formation, working capital, and commissioning. ERIDON has already invested $12.2 million, while $11.8 million in additional financing is required to complete the project. Financial projections demonstrate solid performance, with an IRR of 15.8%, NPV of $13.8 million (10 years), and a discounted payback period of 7.2 years. The project launch period is estimated at 4 years, ensuring a structured and phased implementation. The project is positioned to meet growing demand for high-quality beef and offers scalability, operational efficiency, and strong market attractiveness.
