Pink Pepper
Pink pepper (Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi) is a plant from the Anacardiaceae family, native to Brazil. Despite its name, it is not related to true peppers but is related to cashews, mangoes, and Spondias dulcis. Highly valued in both national and international cuisine, it is used directly as a seasoning in various dishes. Additionally, its use in the cosmetic industry is expanding.
The state of Espírito Santo leads production in Brazil, followed by Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, and the Baixo São Francisco region.
