Dr. Jayen Mehta is the Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (GCMMF–Amul), India’s largest FMCG organization, with annual brand sales of approximately USD 11 billion. Amul is a farmer-owned cooperative representing 3.6 million milk producers across 18,600 village dairy cooperatives in Gujarat and handles over 11 billion litres of milk annually. Ranked as the world’s strongest food and dairy brand, Amul is also the most picked brand globally, with more than 24 billion packs sold each year.
With over 34 years of leadership experience at Amul, Dr. Mehta has been instrumental in shaping the brand’s marketing excellence and global growth. He serves on the Standing Committee on Marketing of the International Dairy Federation (IDF) and the International Trade Policy Committee of CII, is a board member of the Global Dairy Platform (GDP), and a member of the CM50 – Cooperatives and Mutuals Leadership Circle of the International Cooperative Alliance.
A widely recognized marketing leader, Dr. Mehta was featured in Campaign Asia’s Asia Pacific Power List 2024 and has received several prestigious honours, including Marketer of the Year – FMCG Food (IAA), Best CMO Award 2021, and Marketing Man of the Year 2018.
