Born and trained in Japan, Chef Ken specialises in Japanese wagyu cuisine and omakase-style tasting menus. After building his career in high-end restaurants in Japan and as the owner of an exclusive members-only restaurant, he opened KEN by Kamatsuda in Dubai to introduce an authentic yet contemporary Japanese dining experience focused on premium wagyu and seasonality. His cooking is guided by the Japanese philosophy of ishoku-dogen – the idea that food and medicine share the same origin – creating dishes that are both indulgent and mindful of guests’ wellbeing.
