Minister Trevor Jones was appointed Minister of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness in March 2025. He is originally from Leamington and worked successfully as a business executive in the greenhouse industry before being elected in 2022 as MPP for Chatham-Kent-Leamington. In this position, he led Canadian procurement operations and cold supply chain management, while also advocating for Ontario farmers, increased market access, and innovation in agri-food technologies. He’s also graduate from the University of Windsor has over 15 years of experience serving with the Ontario Provincial Police. He still lives in Leamington with his family.
