The second edition of Bio Business Pará takes place this Thursday (16), at 6pm, at Estação das Docas, in Belém (PA). The event proposes the creation of opportunities and catalytic environments for biobusiness, as well as an innovation space for interaction between the production, investment, market, research, government and civil society sectors. The initiative is organized by the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability (Semas) in partnership with the Amazon Environmental Research Institute (IPAM) and the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae) and is a legacy of the World Forum of Bioeconomy, held in the state, in 2021. “Bio Business will bring opportunities for innovation initiatives related to the bioeconomy. It is a space for interaction between sectors between the market, producers, investors, Indigenous Peoples and Traditional Communities with technological and traditional scientific knowledge. From this meeting we will have the creation of new products, services, businesses and solutions based on nature inspired by its environmental assets with high technology, knowledge and added value”, stated the director of Public Policies and Territorial Development at IPAM, Eugênio Pantoja. 12 initiatives will be presented. This year, to further encourage connections between bioproduct and biobusiness initiatives for representatives of different sectors, the matchmaking methodology will be applied, combined with the exhibition of dynamic panels interspersed with other activities, such as a parade, cultural presentation, among others. And during these breaks, business rounds will be organized so that each of the sectors can have contact with these bioproduct initiatives, as well as space for the exhibition of physical products from the participating initiatives.
