Peanut Oil
Peanut oil refined Ph. Eur. is obtained from the shelled seeds of Arachis hypogaea L. by pressing and extraction of the previously crushed, heat-treated and flaked peanuts. The oil is then gently refined.A clear, yellowish, viscous liquid. Very slightly soluble in ethanol (96%); miscible with light petroleum. It solidifies at about 2°C.The production process for our cold-pressed peanut oil begins in the fields, where the peanut plants are harvested together with the nuts that have grown underground using harvesting machines. The harvested peanuts are then dried for two to four weeks, reducing their moisture content from 40 percent to around 5 to 7 percent, which both improves the shelf life of the nuts and minimizes the risk of mould growth. In the next step, the shelled kernels are mechanically cold-pressed. Following the gentle extraction process, the oil undergoes thorough filtering to remove any impurities and residues. This process guarantees the preservation of the oil's natural properties, including its vitamins and valuable secondary plant substances. A final quality test in our accredited laboratory confirms the high quality and purity of our cold-pressed peanut oil.
