The Almond Board of Australia is the peak body for Australia's almond growers, processors, and marketers. One of the key roles of the Almond Board of Australia is to promote the industry's key exporters: Almondco Australia, Bright Light Agribusiness, Murry Downs Almonds, Nut Producers Australia (NPA), Olam Food Ingredients (OFI) and Select Harvests. The Australian almond industry grows four main varieties of almonds: Nonpareil, Carmel, Monterey and Price. Australian almonds are exported inshell and as kernel plus in a comprehensive range of value-added almond products: almond meal, slivered and flaked almonds and almond butter and almond paste for almond milk production.
