For 49 years, Gesas has been the sought-after name for consumers, young and old, due to a mouth-watering portfolio mix of chocolate, preserve, biscuit spread, tahini, halva and sesame offerings. Founded in Konya, in the heart of Turkey, Gesas initially began production of two traditional Turkish products: tahini, a condiment made from roasted ground hulled sesame, and halva, a sweet confection made from sesame seed paste and sugar. Gesas brand name is now commonly found in more than 75 countries with its expanded product portfolio. Launching the premium Sevilla premium brand in 2018 and reaching 200 tonnes production capacity at its Konya plant proved an appropriate milestone in anchoring the Gesas brand. Operating from a 27,000 sqm plant and employing 350 people, Gesas has a daily 280 tonne production capacity and distributes to key markets across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the United States, South America and Australasia.
