Sri Lanka Tea Board is the apex government body responsible for development of Sri Lanka tea industry and promotion of Ceylon Tea globally. Sri Lanka produces one of the best quality teas in the world called Ceylon Tea which is the most sought after tea by the tea connoisseurs around the globe. The country produces Orthodox Black Tea, CTC Tea, Green Tea, Organic Teas, Artisanal Teas, RTDs etc and exports to over 150 destinations around the world in different forms of packaging. Ceylon Tea comes from seven agro-climatic regions of Sri Lanka namely Nuwara Eliya, Uda Pussellawa, Dimbula, Uva, Kandy, Sabaragamuwa and Ruhuna. The tea produced in these regions give completely different tea experience for the tea lovers as each region has its own tea characters in connection with its color, aroma, flavor and strength as result of the diverse soil and climatic condition in each region.
