H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi serves as the Chairman of Board of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID). Prior to his role, he has worked with numerous local authorities and international organizations, having served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), holding the position of Ministry Undersecretary and Vice Chairman of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). He has also held membership in the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Advisory Council, Vice Chair of the MENA Corporate Governance Working Group at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and member of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutes (AAOIFI).

Moreover, H.E. Dr. Al Zaabi has also been a member of Committee of the GCC Financial Market Authorities, member of the GCC Accounting and Auditing Organization (GCCAAO), and a founding member and president of the Union of Arab Securities Authorities (UASA). Besides being a member of the Financial Stability Board (FSB) and has chaired the Emerging Financial Markets Committee at the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ISESCO). In addition to that, he served as the Vice Chairman of the Financial Restructuring Committee and Chairman of the Technical Committee at the Ministry of Finance.

His experience extends to the field of Islamic banking, where he worked as a Department Manager at Dubai Islamic Bank, an Auditor at the Central Bank of the UAE, and a Human Resources Director and visiting professor at the University of Sharjah. Currently, he serves as a member of the Advisory Board for Sustainable Finance at the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA).

H.E. Dr. Al Zaabi is a Ph.D. holder in Banking and Finance from Durham University (UK) in 2006, with a distinction Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2000, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the United Arab Emirates University in 1989. His Excellency holds full membership from the Institute of Certified Management Accountants in Australia, and is a chartered accountant from the United Kingdom, a certified chartered accountant in Islamic financial institutions by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutes (AAOIFI) and a member of the Institute of Financial Consultants in the United States.

In addition, H.E. Dr. Al Zaabi holds membership in the Accountants and Auditors Association in the UAE, and is part of the Advisory Group of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) in the United States. He was also a member of the Advisory Board for the College of Business Administration at the United Arab Emirates University and University of Sharjah. His Excellency has over thirty years of work experience in accounting, banking, finance and investment, financial regulation, auditing, and governance.

H.E. Dr. Al Zaabi has authored numerous peer-reviewed and published scientific books and articles, presenting research papers at various specialized conferences. He has taught at the master's level in several universities, evaluated master's and doctoral theses, and served as an assessor for the Sharjah Award for the Best Doctoral Theses in Administrative Sciences in the Arab world.
