LUIGI VESPERO
Luigi Vespero, an industry veteran with a 20-year culinary career worldwide, now serves as the Group Director of Food & Beverage for the prestigious Gargash Group in the UAE. Managing outlets like Hotel Cartagena, Weslodge Business Bay & City Walk, Farzi Dubai, AMG Kaffeehaus, and The Artisan, he oversees operations, expansion, and new concept launches. With a background including the Waldorf Astoria DIFC, Luigi brings a wealth of experience, earning accolades like 'Chef of the Year' at the BBC Good Food Middle East Awards 2018.
Luigi's culinary journey began at 14 in Italy, progressing through roles in the UK and eventually making a mark in London's Michelin-starred kitchens. He later joined Galvin La Chapelle, securing a Michelin star and various awards. His Middle East venture included the Rib Room and roles with Jumeirah Restaurant Group and Meraas, expanding the Galvin brand globally. Joining Gargash Group as Culinary Director allows Luigi to continue his passion for leading talented teams and achieving financial success.
