Raymond is founder and Managing Director of Mycrocell Pte Ltd, a mycelium fermentation and bioreactor technology startup at Singapore’s Science & Technology Agency (A*STAR) tech incubator AStartCentral, and anchor industry partner at Singapore Polytechnic's new Future Food Innovation District. Prior to this he was CEO of a National Hi-Tech Company in Plant Cell Culture in China, and Chairman of its manufacturing subsidiary with 20-tonne GMP cultivation and downstream processing facility for nutriceuticals and skincare active ingredients, with certifiable finished consumer product manufacturing lines. For 12 years he managed marine biotechnology research across Australia at Flinders University where he co-founded the Centre for Marine Bioproducts (CMBD), garnering more than $300 million in research consortiums for industry through national Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) and industry RDC projects; He is also co-author of the Marine Biotechnology white paper (Baker and Sorokin et. al.) of the 2015-2025 Australia National Marine Science Plan, and co-founder and notary of the Australia-New Zealand Marine Biotechnology Society (ANZMBS).
